The Syrian Embassy in Beijing held a reception marking the 64th anniversary of the National Day 
The reception was attended by H.E. Dr. Khalaf Muhammad Aljarad , the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Beijing and H.E. Mr. Zhai Jun, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the People’s Republic of China, and H.E. Mr. Song Ai Guo, General Director of West Asia and North Africa Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the members of the Arab-Chinese Friendship Association. Over 500 people attended the reception including Arab and foreign Diplomats, representatives of different Chinese media outlets and different political, economic and cultural activities, as well as representatives from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chinese Ministry of Defense, members of the Syrian community in Beijing, and Syrian students studying in Beijing.
On the margin of the reception, the Syrian Embassy has organized a tourist photo exhibit about Syria, which was highly received by the attending guests. It also distributed promotional prints and CDs that includes information about Syria. Copies of the Chinese magazine Lookwe, specialized in culture and tourism, that was specially issued on this great occasion, were also distributed.
