Syrian Embassy in Beijing participated at ADS-Exhibition held at one of the biggest Malls in the world (Jinyuan Yansha Mall) between: Sep.1st -3rd.2006.
It was under a slogan: Syria - Cradle of Civilizations welcomes its Chinese friends.
Syria was one of 10 countries and regions participants which were (Tunis, Egypt, South Africa, Malaysia, Mexico, Sri lanka, Britain, Ireland, Hong Kong).
In coordination with Huayu Tourism Company, the Embassy organized a belly dancing, and Arabic singing shows, and one of the Syrian students in Beijing (Mountasser Al-Haj) sang very special Arabic and Chinese songs which met with high appraisal from the Chinese audience
The Syrian diplomats who were in change of the booth wore Syrian traditional customs, and exhibited some of Syrian handcrafts like Mosaic, copper crafts, embroideries,……that won the admiration of visitors, especially the OUD (an oriental musical instrument).Many promotion tourist materials have been distributed and an interesting tourist film about Syria have been broadcast on a larger screen the whole days of the exhibition.
The exhibition was covered by BTV, Beijing Radio, and Beijing Daily, Beijing Evening News.
