President Bashar al-Assad met on Sunday Representative of the Leader of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Larijani, and discussed with him bilateral relations and the constantly-improving constructive cooperation between Syria and Iran.

Talks also dealt with the main issues in the region and recent developments in it, in addition to the importance of achieving security and stability in the Middle East.

Later, Vice President Farouk al-Shara resumed talks with Larijani in the presence of Assistant Vice President Mohammad Nasif.
