al-Assad, Sheikh Khalifa Express Content Over Bilateral Relations, Arab Common Action | | | |

President Bashar al-Assad and President of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday held a plenary meeting at al-Musharraf Palace in Abu Dhabi attended by members of the two official delegations.
The meeting was later followed by a bilateral meeting between President al-Assad and Sheikh Khalifa.
President al-Assad and His Highness Sheikh KLalifa voiced content over the steady development of the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, particularly in the political, economic and investment fields. The two leaders stressed keenness to continue promoting these relations for the interest of the people in the two countries.
The situations in the region, especially in Iraq and the occupied Palestinian territories were also discussed during the meeting.
The two sides reviewed the efforts that led to the Doha agreement and the election of the Lebanese to their consensual President as well as the important role played by Syria in this regard.
Both leaders agreed to continue consultations and coordination between Syria and the UAE over the Arab Nation's issues and boosting up Arab joint action.
Later, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa held a banquet in honor of His Excellency President al-Assad during which they continued their talks. The banquet was attended by members of the two official delegations. | |
