amid general mourning the Lebanese and the army bid a mournful farewell to Brigadier General Francois el-Hajj , the director of operations and his companion Sergeant Khairallah Hduan .

The martyr's flag-draped body arrived with the funeral procession to the Basilica church of Lebanon's Lady northeast Beirut. The martyr's military colleagues and officers saluted the coffin as it entered the church.

The coffin was put in front of the altar of the church where a mass for the martyr's soul was held. The funeral procession is scheduled to go to southern town of Rmeich, the martyr's birthplace after prayers .

The body of the martyr companion, Hduan was transferred to his birthplace in Hezzin town in Bekka' where the body will be buried.
